I lie wide awake,
In the shadows of my room,
The clock’s hands creeping toward 1 a.m.,
Then 2 a.m.,
And eventually 3 a.m,
The silence of the night feels heavy,
And with each passing minute,
Time seems to stretch endlessly,
As if mocking my restless state.
My thoughts spin and whirls,
Darting from one regret to another,
Memories of moments,
And faces of loved ones,
I wish to hold just a second longer,
Tick, Tick, Tick,
Each sound echoes in the stillness,
A relentless reminder that im still awake,
Now it’s 4 a.m.,
And I remain in an endless loop of contemplation,
My mind drifts into a sea of what-ifs,
Still trapped in the depths of my own mind.
